“Nature is my inspiration, because it is the source of all creation and magic. I express through paint, photography, illustration, sculpture and wood carving.”

Sonya Palencia was born and raised in Colton, CA. She is a BFA graduate of the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA and currently resides in Altadena, CA. She devotes her time to travel, fine art, design, and music. She has also served as a supporter of: The National Trust for Historical Preservation, The National Park and Wildlife Preservation, National Wildlife Federation, The Sierra Club, The Los Angeles Conservancy, The Los Angeles Puppetry Guild, IPM (The International Puppetry Museum), and the Musical Saw Players Association.
